Senior tennis players Brian Fitzgerald and Dan Schneider received Colonial Athletic Association honors on the eve of the 2009 CAA Tennis Championship in Norfolk, Va. Fitzgerald earned third-team All-CAA in singles and was named to the third-team All-CAA in doubles paired with Daniel Schneider.

The Patriots top singles player Fitzgerald played two seasons for the Patriots after transferring from VCU. As a senior, his overall record is 12-12, including 7-9 during the dual spring season. He finishes his two-year career with a winning record from the No. 1 singles position, 20-14 in dual matches, 29-22 overall.

Senior Dan Schneider anchored the No. 3 singles position for the Patriots, but was paired with Fitzgerald as the top doubles team that went 10-9 overall, 7-8 during the spring dual season. In his four-year career at Mason, he posted a 42-39 overall record in doubles action.
