The Mason men's golf team finished up play at the First Market Bank Intercollegiate on Tuesday, ending with a 36-hole team-score of 620 on the River Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.
Winning the team title was Liberty University, who finished the two-day tournament with a score of 574 (+6). Earning medalist honors was Liberty Flame Robert Karlsson, who was the only individual to finish the tournament under-par with his 141 (-1).
Mason was led by Marshall Tinsley, who finished the event with a 152 (+10), finishing in a tie for 46th overall. He shot even par 71 on the second day, cutting 10 strokes off his first round score. Silas Vansky shot a six-over par for each of the two rounds to finish tied for 61. Branson Real finished the tournament in a tie for 72nd with his two-day total of 155 (+13).
Next up for the Mason men's golf team is the Patriot Intercollegiate on Monday, March 30 at Laurel Hills Golf Course in Lorton, Va.
