The Patriots golf team played in the third and final round of the Palmas Del Mar Collegiate in Huarenco, Puerto Rico today and finished the 54-hole tournament in ninth place. The Patriots ended with a three-round score of 912, 12 strokes off eighth place Old Dominion (900) at The Flamboyan, a par 72 6,931- yard course.
Branson Real was the top performer for the Patriots. He finished tied for 11th place with a three-round score or 220, including a four-under 68 on the day two. Silas Vansky carded the next best 54-hole score of 228 for Mason and a 30th place overall finish. Both Josh Apple and Marshall Tinsley finished tied for 41st overall and Andrew Maryan finished 48th overall.
The Patriots will travel to Williamsburg on March 23 and 24th for the First Market Bank Intercollegiate, hosted by William and Mary.
