The Patriots golf team traveled during spring break to Huarenco, Puerto Rico for the second straight year to participate in the Palmas Del Mar Collegiate hosted by St. John's. Mason stands in 10th place after the first round of the three-round event played at the The Flamboyan a par 72 6,931- yard course.

Marshall Tinsley leads the Patriots and stands in 29th place overall with a five-over par 77 in round one. Not far behind are three Patriots tied at 35th overall. Josh Apple, Branson Real and Silas Vansky each shot 79 today to round out the scoring.

The second round of the tournament will be played on Tuesday.
