The Patriots golf team trimmed 18 strokes off their first round score to move up to 9th place at the Palmas Del Mar Collegiate in Huarenco, Puerto Rico. The Patriots with a two-round score of 610 are four strokes off Bowling Green State University (606) and eight strokes off seventh place Old Dominion (602) going into the final round on Wednesday at The Flamboyan, a par 72 6,931- yard course.
Branson Real cut 11 strokes off his first round score to card a four-under 68 on the day which moved him into a tie for 12th place overall. Silas Vansky moved up three spots in the overall standings after shooting a one-over par 73 today. Josh Apple carded a 76 and Marshall Tinsley and Andrew Maryan each shot 79 in round two to finish out the Patriot scores on the day.
The third and final round of the tournament will be played on Wednesday.
