The Mason men's golf team wrapped up their first tournament of the spring with an 11th place finish at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate held on Hilton Head Island, S.C. Mason was 12th after the first two rounds but moved up a place after carding a team 319 score today.

Mason's Branson Real was the top scorer for the team, finished tied for 29th. He carded a three round 233 (78-76-79) at the par 72, 6,828-yard course. Freshman Josh Apple, who carded one of only eight sub-par scores for the tournament finished 38th overall (81-71-84=236).

USC Aiken, the top-ranked team in NCAA Division II, fired a final-round 306 team score to win the fourth-annual tournament. USCA's Roberto Diaz fired a 2-under-par 70, Tuesday's low round of the day, to capture medalist honors with a 54-hole tally of 214.
