2009 Southern Scuffle Bracket in PDF Format 
GREENSBORO, N.C. - After a full first day of action at the 2009 Southern Scuffle, George Mason sophomore Mendbagana Tovuujav is still standing in the championship bracket at 174 pounds. Tovuujav won his first two matches by fall to advance to the quarterfinal round.
In his opening match of the tournament, Tovuujav pinned Gardner-Webb University's Vincent Salyer in 2:33 to advance to the next round. In his second match of the day, Tovuujav pinned J.C. Oddo of The Citadel in 31 seconds. Tovuujav takes on Justin Zeerip of the University of Michigan when the second day of action gets underway tomorrow in Greensboro, N.C.
Zach Huxford (133), Jaaziah Bethea (141) and Bill Widener (197) all remain alive in the consolation brackets of their respective weight classes.
The 2009 Southern Scuffle concludes with the second and final day of action tomorrow at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center. Matches are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
