FAIRFAX, Va. - The Mason lacrosse team attended the CAA Blood Drive on Monday, Nov. 2, where they assisted people who had just donated blood. Members of the team worked all day in different shifts so a representative was there from the beginning to the end of the event helping distribute juice boxes and snacks. Not only did they attend to people who had given blood, but some members of the team themselves donated blood as well.
The CAA Blood Drive was created seven years ago and has raised over 17,000 units of blood, not counting what they acquired this year. This blood drive gives everyone an opportunity to participate in the miracle of saving lives. The lacrosse team not only supported the people donating blood at the event but also directly helped save lives themselves by giving blood.
The George Mason lacrosse team will continue to participate in community service projects throughout the month of November.
