Navy Classic Tournament Bracket in PDF Format 
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - A pair of wrestlers placed in the top three for George Mason at the 2009 Navy Classic in Annapolis, Md. Senior Brian Wright finished in third place at 125 pounds and sophomore Denny Herndon finished third at 133 pounds.
Wright, the fourth seed in his weight class, advanced to the semifinals of the championship bracket with a dominating 15-0 technical fall over Navy's Austin Clouse. In the semifinals, Wright lost to Aaron Kalil of Navy by an 8-4 decision to drop down to the consolation bracket. In the consolation bracket, Wright won two matches, including the third-place match against Bloomsburg's Jason Guffey by a score of 7-1.
Herndon was the second seed in the 133-pound bracket. After winning his opening match, Herndon was derailed by Virginia Tech's Erik Spjut by a 5-2 decision in the championship semifinals. Herndon bounced back with a 5-2 win over Navy's Jared Anongos and a 3-2 win over Franklin and Marshall's Jacob Bucha to take third place.
George Mason wrestles again on Sunday, Dec. 6 at the Nittany Lion Open in University Park, Pa.
