2009 Patriot Invitational Order of Events

The George Mason swimming and diving team will take to the water this weekend when it hosts the annual Patriot Invitational, which will take place from Friday through Sunday at Jim McKay Natatorium at the Aquatic & Fitness Center.

On Friday and Saturday, the morning preliminary sessions will begin at 10 a.m., while the evening finals start at 6 p.m. Sunday's prelims begin at 9 a.m. with the finals set for 5 p.m. Admission to the Patriot Invitational can be purchased at the event.

Results from each session during the three-day meet, along with daily recaps, can be found at Patriot Invitational Central.

Participating in the Patriot Invitational along with Mason are American, Georgetown, George Washington, Howard, Seton Hall, Shippensburg, UMBC, and UNC Wilmington.

Mason's men have amassed a 3-4 record this season, while the Patriot women are 1-6 on the year. Most recently, the Patriots men's squad defeated Towson while falling to UNCW and host Delaware at the Colonial Athletic Association Pod Meet two weeks ago. The women were unable to record a victory at the Pod Meet.

The Patriot Invitational is the final team meet for Mason until 2010, when it participates in the Orange Bowl Classic as part of its winter break training.
