FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason men's and women's track and field teams open the 2009 indoor track and field season this Saturday with the Father Diamond Invitational, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Field House. The meet is the first of three that the Patriots will host during the indoor season.

The meet is slated to begin at 10 a.m. with the finals of the women's long jump and the men's weight throw. The first running event, the finals of the women's 4x800-meter relay, begins at noon. The finals of the men's 4x400-meter relay closes out the day with a scheduled start time of 4:45 p.m.

Saturday's meet is free and open to the public.
