FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason women's lacrosse team, ranked 15th in the latest IWLCA poll, will attempt to continue its early-season success when it takes on regional rival George Washington in a 7 p.m. matchup on Wednesday at George Mason Stadium. The Patriots are 2-1 this season, with both wins coming in front of the home crowd in Fairfax, Va.

Mason was dominant in its last game, an 11-5 victory on Saturday against Virginia Tech. The Patriots led 4-0 at the break and 8-0 with 17:01 left in the contest. Sophomore attacker Megan Udovich netted a career-high five goals to give the Mason offense a vital spark off the bench. With the win, the Patriots improved to 9-3 in the all-time series against the Hokies dating back to the 1995 season.

Freshman attacker Madalyn Jamison has been a force in her first three games donning the Green and Gold. Jamison has won two consecutive CAA Rookie of the Week awards to begin the season. In three starts, she has tallied five goals on eight shots, including the game-winning goal in Mason's upset victory over then-No. 9 Johns Hopkins to open the season. She also has three ground balls, three draw controls and a caused turnover.

George Washington enters Wednesday's action winless in its first three contests. The Colonials have played a tough schedule; however, with two of their losses coming to a pair of top-10 teams, Georgetown and Johns Hopkins. Junior Katherine Sampson and sophomore Mia Breheny share the team lead in goals scored with six.

Tickets to the game will cost $5 for adults and $2 for youth and senior citizens. All full-time students enrolled at George Mason University will receive free admission with a valid student ID.
