George Mason sophomore first baseman Justin Bour hit .538 last week with three home runs, six runs and 13 RBI and because of that production at the plate, he was named the CAA Co-Player of the Week. It's the second time Bour has been honored as Player of the Week as he won the award last year as a freshman.
Bour leads the CAA in home runs (11) and RBI (40) and is third in batting average (.426). Bour also leads the conference in total bases (83), is second in slugging percentage (.822), fourth in hits (43) and sixth in on-base percentage (.482).
Mason went 3-3 last week as the Patriots beat Liberty and Brown, lost to Maryland and dropped 2 of 3 to Old Dominion. Mason will return to action on Wednesday when the Patriots play at Maryland at 7 p.m.
