FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason women's lacrosse team, currently ranked 13th by the IWLCA and 18th by Inside Lacrosse, returns home with a chance to make history against the Saint Joseph's Hawks on Saturday. With a victory against the Hawks, the Patriots will set a new school record for consecutive wins.

Mason has won its past four contests to equal a school record for consecutive wins that has stood since 1996. The Patriots enter Saturday's 1 p.m. contest at George Mason Stadium with a 5-1 overall record, the best record in the history of the program to start a season after six games.

Last week, senior midfielder Megan Bartlett was named the Colonial Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week as well as the Nike/Inside Lacrosse Player of the Week after leading George Mason to its second win over a Top 20 team this season. Bartlett scored a career-high five goals and added an assist in a 19-15 Mason road win over Boston University, which entered the game ranked 18th in the IWLCA Poll and 16th in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll. She also tied her career high with four draw controls in the game.

Saint Joseph's enters Saturday's contest with a 4-3 overall mark. The Hawks dropped their last game to the Temple Owls on Thursday afternoon by a final score of 9-8 when the Owls scored a goal with four seconds remaining.

Tickets to the game will cost $5 for adults and $2 for youth and senior citizens. All full-time students enrolled at George Mason University will receive free admission with a valid student ID.
