Fairfax, VA - With its victory in the CAA Championship, George Mason has earned a berth in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. This Sunday, March 16, the NCAA will announce the pairings for the 2008 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. At that time, we will learn the date, location, and opponent for George Mason's First Round game.
NCAA TICKET ORDERING FOR PATRIOT CLUB - SEASON TICKET HOLDERS
Once we know the details of our First Round game, we will begin accepting requests for NCAA tickets from season ticket holders and Patriot Club members. Requests must be submitted online; a link will be made available at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2008. Payment is required at the time the request is made. All requests must be received via online link by Monday, March 17, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Please note that submitting this request does not guarantee you will receive tickets.
If we are able to sell you tickets for the First Round of the NCAA Tournament we will contact you by telephone no later than Tuesday, March 18 2008 at 2:00 pm. If you purchase tickets to the first round of the NCAA Tournament and Mason advances, you automatically will be charged for tickets to the second round games involving Mason. If you do not receive a telephone call from us, we were unable to fulfill your request. We apologize in advance if this is the case, but the number of tickets we receive for NCAA post-season play is very limited and we cannot possibly accommodate all requests. We reserve the right to limit ticket quantities based on availability; if you receive tickets, you may not receive the number that you ordered.
Priority for all post-season tickets is given to Patriot Club annual scholarship donors and season ticket holders. If we are playing in a nearby-region with a high demand, a limit of two tickets per account may be used to give as many supporters as possible the opportunity to purchase tickets. NCAA policy dictates that we only receive a total of 550 tickets for our 1st and 2nd round games. These are the only tickets we have to accommodate requests from the team, students, season ticket holders, Patriot Club members and other constituents. Consequently, in light of the fact that we have nearly 2,800 season tickets, the vast majority of season ticket holders are likely to not receive tickets. We appreciate your understanding of the situation given the circumstances.
The web link for ticket sales is for exclusive use by season ticket holders and Patriot Club members. Non-season ticket holders who request tickets through this link will have their order cancelled without a refund.
We appreciate your enthusiastic support for our men's basketball program throughout the season. We hope for your continued support as we look forward to the postseason.
