The George Mason baseball team will have to wait an extra day to begin its season after rain came through South Carolina, forcing the postponement of its season opener.

The Patriots will now face the College of Charleston in a doubleheader on Saturday with two nine-inning games beginning at Noon. The Patriots expect to send Dan Jaycox to the mound for the opener and Mike Modica to the bump in the second game.

Mason and the Cougars will conclude their three-game series on Sunday at 1 p.m.
