DURHAM, N.C. -- North Carolina's Philip Chauncey fired a final round two-under 69 to overcome a five-shot deficit and claim the Duke Coca-Cola Individual Collegiate with a one-over 214 (74-71-69). The challenging Duke University Golf Club (6,961 yards, par 71) yielded just three under-par rounds on Tuesday.

Freshman Josh Apple had the best final round among the Patriots carding a three-over par 74. He finished 38th overall after improving his score each of the three rounds. Adam Van Houten had his best round of the tournament with a 76 today.

Next Monday and Tuesday the Patriot golfers will participate in the Sycuan Collegiate Invitational in El Cajon, Cal. Hosted by San Diego State University.
