Wilmington, N.C. -
The George Mason baseball team, originally scheduled to open its three-game Colonial Athletic Association series at UNC Wilmington on Thursday at 7 p.m., has had its series opener postponed due to rain.
The Patriots and Seahawks will opened their series on Friday with a doubleheader. The first game will be a nine-inning affair and will get underway at 4 p.m. The second game will be a seven-inning affair and will get underway approximately a half-hour after the conclusion of the first game. Dan Jaycox (2-2) will start the first game with J.J. Pannell (7-2) going in the nightcap.
Both Mason and UNCW have already qualified for next week's CAA Tournament which pits the top six teams in the CAA against each other as they battle for the CAA title.
