Fairfax, Va. - The Lady Netters fell to the James Madison Dukes in Harrisonburg today, 2-5. Maricel Ballester had yet another good day in singles play as she increased her singles match winning streak to five.
Ballester, along with Meridith Cutchin, brought home singles win for the Lady Netters two team points. Ballester defeated James Madison's Napier at the No. 1 position in dominant fashion, 6-0, 6-0. The win increased her personal singles match win streak to five matches. Cutchin, playing at the No. 4 spot, added a 6-3, 6-2 over James Madison's Graham for Mason. James Madison swept the three doubles matches for that team point.
The Lady Netters have two away matches at the end of the week. They travel to Drexel on Thursday and Delaware on Friday. Mason will look to add two more wins to their 4-11 overall record. Ballester will look to help her team accomplish that goal as she goes for personal wins number six and seven in a row.
