Fairfax, Va.--George Mason University's softball squad (11-21) takes a break from conference action for a doubleheader against Mount St. Mary's (4-16) on April 4, with the first game beginning at 3 p.m. at George Mason Field.

Through 32 games, junior Kristin Dickel leads the Patriots in batting average (.386) and hits (27), including six doubles. Junior Mandy Bach leads Mason in doubles with eight, while freshman Becky Anderson has connected on a team-best three homeruns and also leads her teammates in RBI with 13.

In the Mount's last outing, Quinnipiac swept a doubleheader with a 4-1 and a 5-3 win this past Sunday. Ashley Lodato paced the Mount with three hits and a run scored while Kelli Seger recorded two hits, a run scored and an RBI in the nightcap. MSM freshman Ashley Lodato is batting .500 (5-for-10) in the last five games with a double, a run scored and an RBI, while sophomore Amanda Burk and Kelli Seger paced the team with three RBI a piece.

Since the 1991 season, these two teams have met 30 times and Mason leads the all-time series, 23-7. The Mount swept both games last season and Mason's last win in the series was a 2-1 decision in 2005.

The last non-conference match-up for the Patriots came on March 28 and Mason split with George Washington, losing the first game by a score of 1-0 and then claiming a 3-1 victory in the nightcap.

Mason will return to CAA action this weekend as the Patriots host James Madison for a three-game series. The doubleheader on Saturday begins at 12 p.m. and the two teams will wrap-up the series on April 8 at noon.
