The golf team carded their best score in three rounds at the par-70 Cascades Course at the Homestead Resort, but didn't move up in the standing finishing 10th at the CAA Championship. Old Dominion (859) won the tournament by four strokes over defending champion Georgia State (863).
For the Patriots, Dan Hurley and Nick DeSimone both finished in a tie for 31st overall each carding a three-round total 228 (+18). Hurley shot a three-over par 73 in the final round to move up from 40th yesterday.
Mason's J.J. Amuroso shot a 75 today to finish 37th overall. Freshman Justin Wingo finished tied for 49th and Trey Bressler 53rd to round out the scoring for the Patriots.
The Green and Gold will travel to Penn State for the Rutherford Intercollegiate to finish the Spring season on May 5.
