Fairfax, Va. - Conference opponent Towson defeated the Lady Netters on Tuesday. The Lady Netters fell by a score of 1-6 at the Robinson Field Tennis Courts with their overall record dropping to 4-14.
Mason struggled in doubles play, as Towson took all three matches in commanding fashion. Singles play did not prove to be much of a rebound for the Lady Netters, except for Maricel Ballester. Ballester took down Towson's Otanka in three sets, 6-0, 5-7, 6-2. The win was Ballester's sixth in the last eight matches at the No. 1 position. Towson though did sweep positions No. 2 through No. 6.
