Fairfax, Va. - The George Mason women's tennis team lost to Loyola Saturday by a score of 0-7. The overall record of the lady netters now stands at 2-7.
Mason's only win on the day came at the No. 2 doubles position as Julia Moscato and Alicia Van Zandt defeated Kerri Swan and Lauren Cassle by a score of 8-5. Van Zandt also lost a very close singles match to Meaghan McKenna in three sets 2-6, 6-1, 8-10. Meredith Cutchin also had a strong singles performance although she wasdefeated in three sets by Cassle, 7-5, 5-7 and 6-10.
The Lady Netters will be in action once again on Thursday at home on the Robinson Field courts as they take on a very strong UMBC team. That match will begin at 2:30 p.m.
