Piscataway, N.Y.--Mason junior Amanda Fielding (Closter, N.J.) placed in the top-18 of the preliminary round of the 1-meter diving event at the NCAA `Zone A' Diving Championships to earn a spot in the finals round on March 3 at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center in Piscataway, N.Y. The Patriots had two more representatives at the event in Mason sophomore Ryan Metzker (Springfield, Va.) and senior Colleen Flack (Sr., Langhorne, Pa.).

Fielding tallied a score of 216.90 in the preliminary round and closed out competition with 454.85 points to finish in 14th place in the finals. In the same event, Flack missed 18th place by just under two points to finish 19th with a score of 212.75. Metzker tallied a score of 241.00 in the 3-meter and finished the day in 23rd place.

Mason's regular season ended at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships (Feb. 14-17) and the Patriots' men's team finished second for the fourth year in a row (518), while Mason's women's squad placed fourth (462).
