The George Mason men's golf team finished the two-round W&M Invitational held at the Plantation Course at Kingsmill Resort in 19th place. The Patriots shot a team score of 308-318=626 at the 6,432 yard, par 71 course.
Campbell University (575) won the 36-hole event three strokes ahead of second place St. John's (578). Frederic Sundberg from Campbell shot a two-round 67-70=137 to earn medalist honors.
The Patriots were led in the tournament by J.J. Amoruso, who shot a one-over par 72 to finish tied for 12th on day one, but followed up with an 80 in the final round to finish tied for 46th. Trey Bressler finished tied for 71st after carding a 75-82=157. Dan Hurley shot 79 in both rounds to finish tied for 77th.
The Patriots will play in the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate in Greenville, N.C. on Monday and Tuesday.
