Hendricks Qualifies for the ECAC Outdoor Championships in the Long Jump

BATON ROUGE, La. - Sophomore Ryann Hendricks qualified for the ECAC Outdoor Championships in the long jump at this weekend's LSU Tiger Relays, held at Bernie Moore Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.

Hendricks placed sixth in the event with a mark of 5.80 meters (19 ft. 0.50 in.), qualifying for the ECAC Outdoor Championships for the first time in the long jump. Southeast Louisiana's Roseanne Bell finished first in the event with a leap of 6.04 meters (19 ft. 9.75 in.).

The Patriots also competed at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. on Saturday, along with four other teams including American, Colgate, Maryland and Navy. The meet was scored multi-duals featuring an international scoring system. George Mason defeated American 104-46, but lost to Colgate (200-94), Maryland (212-86) and Navy (334-72). Freshman Asia Odum finished third in the 100-meter hurdles at the meet, crossing the finish line in 14.85 seconds.

The women's track and field team will compete again when it hosts the Mason Spring Classic at George Mason Stadium on Saturday, March 31.
