PHILADELPHIA - Drexel defeated George Mason University, 24-9, in a Colonial Athletic Association dual meet held at the Daskalakis Athletic Center in Philadelphia, Pa. With the victory, the Dragons improve to 15-10 (8-2 CAA) while the Patriots fall to 9-8 (5-4 CAA).

Ryan Hluschak opened the meet with a pin fall victory against senior Robert Henry at 157 pounds. Mason responded with a win at 165 pounds by redshirt sophomore Tyler Tisdell before Nick Kozar earned a win by decision against junior Randy Oates at 174 pounds. The Patriots again rebounded by winning the 184-pound bout, but Jon Oplinger, the reigning CAA Co-Wrestler of the Week, continued his hot streak by earning a technical fall win against redshirt junior Harry Zander. The Dragons went on to win the next two matches to clinch the team victory.

George Mason will attempt to rebound from the loss when it hosts North Carolina State on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at John Linn Memorial Gym on Senior Night.
