Senior J.J. Amoruso is Tied for Second Place at Big Five Invitational

The George Mason men's golf team shot a combined 319, which places them tied for 13th on the first day of the Big 5 Classic hosted by Penn at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. Senior J.J. Amoruso shot an even par round of 71 to lead the Patriots. The score is good for a second place tie in the individual race.

Freshman Marshall Tinsley shot a 79 to put him in a tie for 49th. Newcomer Andrew Maryan shot an 84 and Clark Bixler carded a 85 to round out the scoring for the Patriots.

The final day of play is Sunday morning from the Philadelphia Cricket Club.
