Results

The George Mason tennis teams participated in the Hampton Roads Collegiate Invitational on the campus of ODU on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The 29-team field included eight teams from within the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), as well as schools from the ACC, Big East and the Atlantic 10.

In singles action on the men's side, Harwood Hoskins reached the quarterfinals of the C Flight singles after defeating Keenan, 6-1, 6-1. He lost 6-2, 7-6(2) to Jon Schwartz. Also, Stas Budagov was a finalist in the B Flight singles consolation draw and Brian Fitzgerald was a semi-finalist in the A Flight singles consolation draw.

Mason's top doubles team of Brian Fitzgerald and Dan Schneider reached the quarterfinals of the A Flight doubles before losing to a nationaly ranked team of Jackson and Sjamasdin from UMBC.

The women Lindsay Gray lost her opening round match in B Flight singles then won 8-5 in the consolation quarterfinals before having to withdraw in the semifinal. Mason's Sarah Diffenbach defeated Nina Surilatze in her opening round in B Singles then lost in the round of 16.

The women's doubles team of Julie Moscato and Diffenbach won their opening match in Flight C doubles before losing in the Semi-Finals 9-7 to Edwards and Iosue.
