Fairfax, Va. (August 31, 2006)-- George Mason Athletic Director Tom O'Connor announced today that Stacy Berger has accepted the position of Assistant AD for Events in the athletic department.

Berger received her Bachelor of Science in Health, Fitness and Recreation Resources with a concentration in Sports Management from George Mason in 2004. She has been working as event coordinator/scheduling for the past two years at George Washington University responsible for scheduling all athletic and academic activities for three facilities. She negotiated contracts for special events, including the DC title game, Capital Classic and Hoops for Hope. She was championship director for the 2006 Atlantic-10 women's lacrosse championship.

The Baltimore, Md. native played lacrosse four years for the Patriots. She was an honor roll student and two-time co-captain of the team. She earned 2003 CAA All-Tournament team after scoring a season-high three goals in the tournament semifinal.
