Fairfax, Va.--George Mason University's softball team will be holding tryouts for the 2006 season fall semester, starting with a mandatory meeting on Aug. 28 at 3:30 p.m. at the Fieldhouse.

The first day of tryouts is Sept. 12, which will be held at the softball field off of University Drive. Practice and tryout times will require classes to be scheduled to leave an opening between 1:30 and 5 p.m.

Student-athletes will be required to have a physical, as well as completed medical forms. In addition, the prospective softball players will need to apply to the NCAA Clearinghouse and attend an NCAA rules meeting.
