The George Mason women's tennis team wrapped up the season with a 7-0 win against Catholic at home on Senior Day, ending a record 14-win season. Mason says "good-bye" to senior co-captains Andreea Fusea and Jenn Dektas who ended their season on high notes with victories in both singles and doubles.
"Jenn and Andreea will be sorely missed for their off court as well as their on court abilities," said Head Coach Steve Curtis. "They are a huge part of our record 14 win season." 14-12
In singles action, Fusea didn't lose a game in her No. 1 singles match against Cathlolic's Stephanie Kennedy, 6-0, 6-0. She played all her matches at No. 1 singles, finishing with a 18-8 singles record on the year. Dektas lost only two games in her No. 3 singles match to Rachel Tenuta, 6-1, 6-1. She finished with a 9-7 dual match record, with the majority of her matches played from the No. 3 singles position.
