The Mason men's tennis team split their last two matches over the weekend, defeating Morgan State 5-2 and losing to Longwood 7-0. The netters are currently holding a 9-9 record going into the final weekend of competition.

Top singles player for the Patriots Stephan Dufils and newcomers Jordan Lipstock, Jay Friedman and Daniel Schneider each won their singles matches at Morgan State. Friedman didn't lose a game in his match against M. Townes of Morgan State and Schneider and Lipstock both defeated their opponents in three sets.

Mason won the doubles point after winning two of the three matches. The Patriots No. 1 team of Dufils/Lipstock and the No. 3 team of Friedman and Eric Vogel easily won their matches. Mason's No. 2 team Farshad Garakani and Schneider lost a close match to the Ortiz brothers, 9-8. Against Longwood, the only Patriots team to win on the court was the No. 1 doubles team Dufils/Lipstock in a close match, 9-8(7-4)
