PHILADELPHIA - Redshirt freshman Tyler Tisdell (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) finished in second place at the CAA Championships at the 165-pound weight class to qualify for the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, held on March 16-18 at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Tisdell, the No. 3 seed at 165 pounds, defeated Nick Magaraci of Wagner by major decision (14-4) and No. 2 seed Robby Gosnell of ODU by decision (3-2), before falling to the No. 1 seed Chris Vondruska of Hofstra in a close match 3-2.

The top two wrestlers from each weight class advance to the NCAA Division I Championships, along with three wild cards, selected after the competition ends.
