LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - Redshirt freshman Tyler Tisdell won his second consecutive CAA Rookie of the Week award for his performance during the week of Jan. 31 - Feb. 6.
Tisdell, a 165-pounder from Sewell, N.J. (Washington Township High School), won all three of his matches last week by major decision, including a CAA victory against Drexel's Scott Hunter by a final score of 10-0. Tisdell improved to 7-1 in the CAA, 11-1 in dual meets and 24-7 overall. He is currently ranked No. 4 in the conference at 165 pounds.
Tisdell will hit the mat again on Saturday, Feb. 11 when the Patriots host CAA rivals Campbell and Old Dominion at the John Linn Memorial Gym. George Mason, currently 5-3 in conference dual meets, wrestles Campbell at 3 p.m. and ODU at 7 p.m. Campbell is 2-3 in the CAA and ODU is 3-1-1.
