Lancaster, Pa. - George Mason (7-5) dropped two dual meets on Saturday at the Mayser Center on the campus of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa. The Patriots lost to Franklin & Marshall 26-18, and dropped a close one to Davidson 24-22.
Due to injuries, Mason was forced to forfeit at 149 and 157 lbs. in both meets, costing the team 12 valuable points against its opponents. Redshirt freshman Tyler Tisdell (165 lbs.), sophomore Randy Oates (174/184 lbs.), senior Joel Caruso (197 lbs.) and junior Ryan Kittrick (HWT) all went undefeated on the day, with Tisdell scoring two major decisions and Caruso notching a technical fall in his match against Nico Somers of Franklin & Marshall.
The Patriots return home Saturday, Feb. 11 to face CAA conference foes Campbell and Old Dominion at John Linn Memorial Gym. Mason wrestles Campbell at 3 p.m. and ODU at 7 p.m.
