Patriot triple-jumper Marc Kellman says farewell to the 2005 NCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Sacramento State University.

From Marc Kellman: In his own words

Well, today (Saturday) was a better jumping day than yesterday, but it is unfortunate that the outcome was poor.

I can honestly say I left it all on the track and gave it everything I had. The pressure never really got to me but the wind sure did. After a foul on my second jump, I moved back [on the runway] for my third jump. As I started running, little did I know the wind picked up and I fouled my third and final attempt, which would have been good enough to get me into the finals.

It was another great experience at the NCAA championship for me. I want to thank all my friends and family that supported me the entire season. I would also like to thank my training partners Jonathan Martin, Quentin Matthews, Wayne Wright, Ryan McCoy and Lyle McMullen for being great teammates during the rough times we went through without Coach [Skeeter] Jackson this season.

Without them I would not have made it this far. On a closing note I would like to thank sports information writer Carlton White for giving me the opportunity to share my experiences of this NCAA championship, which I will never forget.
