Results

Coral Gables, Fla. - George Mason senior Kathy Williams (Lanham, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) and freshman Sable Bell (Ft. Washington, Md./Oxon Hill) finished in sixth and seventh place, respectively, in the finals of the women's heptathlon on day two of the Hurricane Invitational, held Friday at Cobb Stadium on the campus of the University of Miami.

Williams earned 4,132 points, while Bell picked up 3,059. Both athletes were also sixth and seventh after Thursday's events. On Friday, Williams posted a first-place time of 2:26.40 in the 800m run for her best finish among the seven heptathlon events. Bell's best showing was fifth overall in the 800m with a time 2:33.81. The pair also competed in the long jump and the javelin Friday.

Track and field action at the Hurricane Invitational concludes Saturday.
