Fairfax, Va.--George Mason University's swimming and diving teams will host a pair of dual contests this weekend as the Patriots will compete against Howard on Jan. 14 at 3 p.m. and Towson the following day (1 p.m.) at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
On the women's side, Mason currently holds a 5-2 overall record (5-0 CAA) with their most recent dual competition happening at the Colonial Athletic Association Pod Meet. At that meet, the Patriots notched three dual meet victories over the College of Charleston, Davidson and Drexel at the Aquatic & Fitness Center on Nov. 5-6. Mason's other conference wins came in the month of October over William & Mary and Delaware, both of which took place in Fairfax. Heading into Saturday's meet, Towson's women's team holds an overall record of 6-1 and a league mark of 3-1.
Mason's men's team is also undefeated in conference dual meets with a 5-0 perfect record and hold an overall mark of 5-1. The Patriots competed in the CAA Pod Meet as well, and took home three dual meet victories after the two-day event. In addition, the Patriots also defeated both William & Mary and Delaware in CAA competition in the Fall season. Towson has garnered an overall record of 3-4 and is 2-2 in conference action heading into Saturday's meet.
Next weekend the Patriots will face James Madison on Jan. 22 in Harrisonburg, Va.
