Austin, Texas - Alyce Williams wasn't at the top of her game on Friday evening at the NCAA Track and Field Championships at Austin, Texas, but she still managed to put up a few good jumps. While she failed to make the finals of the triple jump, she did enough to finish 17th out of the 28 competitors in the field.

Williams jumped 12.82 meters on her first attempt and could not get any further. A leap of 13.00 meters was needed to make the finals and Williams has jumped that far this year but she didn't have it in her on Friday.

Williams was an indoor All-American earlier this year and she was looking to add to that honor in the outdoor season. The sophomore will get a chance to improve next season when she will defend her CAA title and look to repeat as an indoor All-American.
