Fairfax, VA-The Mason men's tennis team was blanked today by UMBC, 7-0, dropping to 1-13 on the season. The Retrievers won all six singles matches in straight sets and took all three doubles matches for the point.

The Patriots No. 4 singles player Oleg Sirghii dropped the first set, 1-6, but fought back only to lose the second set, 5-7. The No. 1 doubles team of Tito Ballester and Tim Bainton lost, 8-4, to the team of Josef Novotny and Luis Baraldi, 8-4.

The Patriots get back on the home court on Wednesday against Coppin State at 1:00 p.m.
