Fairfax, VA-The James Madison Dukes defeated the Patriots in conference play on Saturday at George Mason's Tennis Courts, 7-0.
Senior Tito Ballester started both his doubles match with Tim Bainton and No. 1 singles match against David Emery, but had to retire in both matches. Tim Baiton, playing the No. 2 singles lost a close match to John Swead, 6-4, 6-2. Mason's Oleg Sirghii was very competitive at the No. 4 singles, losing 6-4, 6-3. All matches were decided in straight sets.
Mason hosts conference foe Hofstra at noon on Sunday.
