Tempe, Ariz. - The George Mason men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Baldy Castillo Invitational this weekend and in the first outdoor meet of the season, two men and two women qualified for the NCAA Regional meets.

Sheena Davidson finished second in the 400-meters and qualified for the NCAA East Regional with a time of 53.64 seconds. Nichole Brown was third in the high jump with a leap of 1.78 meters, also qualifying for the NCAA East Regional.

Marc Kellman will be representing the Patriots at the NCAA East Regional in the triple jump after a leap of 15.22 meters, good for second in the event. Quentin Matthews also qualified in the high jump with a second-place mark of 2.10 meters.

The women's 4X400-meter relay team also qualified for the regional meet as Paula Bailey, Alycia Williams, Kim Morgan and Sheena Davidson ran a time of 3:42.37, finishing second.

Kellman and Matthews also qualified for the IC4A Championships. Three teammates also reached qualifying marks for that meet. Ricardo Melbourne was fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.00, Wayne Wright was fourth in the high jump with a leap of 2.05 meters and Ryan McCoy was third in the triple jump with a leap of 14.93 meters.
