LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ--George Mason University's senior Adrian Austin (Colonial Heights, VA) has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Wrestler of the Week, as announced by the conference office.
Austin won all five of his bouts at the CAA Duals last week, including four wins against wrestlers who are ranked in the CAA. Currently ranked 18th in the nation at 149 pounds by InterMat and first in the CAA, Austin defeated Rider's Labe Black (3-1), who is ranked second in the conference and 17th in the nation, according to Amateur Wrestling News. Austin, who improved to 25-6 overall, 5-0 in the CAA, wins the Wrestler of the Week award for the first time this year.
The Patriots will return to action when they travel to Pittsburgh, PA, to face Duquesne on Jan. 30 at 6 p.m.
