Swimming and Diving Teams to Host James Madison

FAIRFAX, VA--George Mason's swimming and diving teams will compete against James Madison on Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Aquatic and Fitness Center on Mason's campus. On the women's side, the Patriots hold a 5-3 overall dual meet record (2-2 CAA), while the Dukes are 1-5 overall (0-3). Mason's men's team has posted a dual meet mark of 5-2 (3-1 CAA), while JMU holds a flawless conference record at 4-0 and are 8-3 overall.

Mason's teams have an identical home dual meet record thus far this season in 2-1 overall and both have not lost a CAA meet at the Aquatic and Fitness Center (2-0). The only loss for the Patriots came against Texas Christian on Oct. 30 where the men fell by a score of 155-125 and the women were defeated, 156-132. The conference wins on Mason's home turf came against Old Dominion (Oct. 25) and Delaware (Nov. 8).

This is the final home regular season meet for both of Mason's teams, but the Patriots will compete at George Washington on Jan. 31. The teams will next see action at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships which will be held at the Aquatic and Fitness Center on Mason's campus from Feb. 18-21.
