SUNSET BEACH, N.C. - Three George Mason players are tied for 23rd overall out of 100 individuals at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate men's golf tournament being held Saturday and Sunday at the Rees Jones Golf Course in Sunset Beach, NC. The event, hosted by Elon University, features 20 teams competing along the par 72, 6,761-yard course. Overall, Elon and Liberty are tied for the team lead with a score of 294 after the first round of competition. Davidson is in third with 296. The Patriots are holding steady in 10th-place after carding 309.

Seniors Craig Mason (Lorton, VA/Hayfield) and Ben Hogan (Centreville, VA/Centreville) along with freshman Nick DeSimone (Sykesville, MD/Liberty) each fired 76 to finish in a tie for 26th among all individuals. Senior Carl Jacobson (Moline, IL/Moline), in action for the first time this season, shot 81 and is tied for 73rd. Patriot freshman Dan Hurley (Leesburg, VA/Loudoun County) carded 85 in his first collegiate event and is tied for 91st.

Play concludes on Sunday at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate.
