FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason is ranked nationally in the latest NCAA women's lacrosse statistics released Wednesday. Statistics are based on games played through Sunday, April 6.

The Patriots, who lead the Colonial Athletic Association in caused turnovers, are ranked third nationally in that category, averaging 14.44 per game behind No. 6 Georgetown (15.89 ctpg) and No. 1 Loyola (18.90).

Individually, freshman defender Katie Linnertz (Syracuse, NY/Cicero North Syracuse) is tied for 15th nationally with 2.44 caused turnovers per game. She also ranks first in the CAA. Sophomore goalkeeper Meg Dentler (Crofton, MD/Arundel) is listed tied for 19th in save percentage. She has the best save percentage among all CAA goalkeepers that have played more than 200 minutes this season.

George Mason (4-5, 1-2 CAA) entertains Towson (6-3, 1-2 CAA) Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at the GMU Stadium in a critical conference match for both teams. The Patriots and Tigers are currently tied for fourth in the CAA standings, and the top four teams earn bids to the league tournament, which is set for April 26-27 at the highest seed.
