FAIRFAX, VA...George Mason pitchers allowed just three overall hits and the Patriot offense scored a combined 20 runs during a non-conference doubleheader sweep over Morgan State Wednesday afternoon. Game scores were 5-0 and 15-0, as Mason improved to 26-20 overall and Morgan State dropped to 16-24 on the season.

Dianna Austin and Rene Leveque combined for a two-hitter in the first game, while Austin and Kathy Hrycyna combined for a one-hit effort in the second game.

In the opener, Tasha Galecki drove in four runs as the Patriots won, 5-0. Galecki hit a two-run triple in the third inning and delivered a two-run double in the fifth.

Amanda Ayers singled home Galecki in the third for Mason's other run.

Austin, who got the win, retired the first 11 batters she faced before issuing a walk with two out in the fourth. She worked five total innings of no-hit ball, striking out two and walking a pair. Leveque entered the game in the sixth and kept the no-hitter intact through two outs in the seventh before Melinda Coffee and Shena Gunnell-Clark pieced together back-to-back singles.

Austin also picked up the win in the second game after throwing four innings, allowing one hit, one walk and recording four strikeouts. Similar to her opening game outing, Austin retired the first ten batters she faced before Gunnell-Clark knocked a single back up the middle. Hrycyna struck out two during a 1-2-3 fifth.

Mason scored two runs in the first, four in the second, three in the third and six in the fourth on its way to the 15-0 run-rule victory.

The Patriots banged out a season-high 19 hits during the game, with Miranda Fox leading the charge with a 3-for-3 effort.

Missy Hartman, who hit a two-run triple, and Kim Braxton each drove in the three runs, while Jen Schultz and Galecki each recorded a pair of RBI-singles. Stacy James hit an RBI-double and drove in a run with a single, while Hrycyna hit a two-run single and Ayers added an RBI-single.

George Mason closes out its regular season this weekend with a three-game CAA series at James Madison.
