NEWARK, DE ... The Colonial Athletic Association baseball game between George Mason and Delaware scheduled for Friday has been postponed due to inclement weather. The Patriots and Fightin' Blue Hens will make up the contest as part of a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m., at Bob Hannah Stadium.
George Mason takes a 22-10 overall record and a 7-1 mark in the CAA into Saturday's action, while Delaware is 12-22 overall, 2-6 CAA. The Patriots are in first place in the CAA Colonial Division, with the Fightin' Blue Hens sitting in fourth place in the division.
Seniors Chris Murray (3-3, 2.95 ERA) and John Sterling (5-2, 3.72 ERA) will be on the mound for George Mason Saturday. Sterling, a native of Middletown, DE, will make his first start back in his home state since he transferred to George Mason from Delaware State prior to the 2002 season. Mason sophomore Jake Glanzmann (2-3, 5.50 ERA) will start the final game of the series on Sunday at 1 p.m.
