NORFOLK, Va. - George Mason was blanked 7-0 by Colonial Athletic Association foe Old Dominion Sunday afternoon at the ODU Tennis Courts. The Patriots drop to 4-10 on the season and remain winless in the CAA at 0-5.

Mason's top three singles players, junior Tito Ballester (Lima, Peru), sophomore Tim Bainton (Chobham Surrey, UK), and freshman Stephan Dufils (Paris, France) looked impressive against their opponents. Each player managed to win a few points against individuals who had been ranked nationally at least once during the season.

Ballester lost his match at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-2, to ODU's Zoltan Csanadi. Bainton fell 6-2, 6-2 to the Monarchs' Izak Van der Merwe at #2, while Dufils dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision at the No. 3 position to Patrick Binkewski.

Old Dominion also won the final three singles positions and swept doubles to win the point. At No. 1 doubles, Ballester and Dufils battled the seventh-ranked duo in the nation of Csanadi and Van de Merwe to an 8-3 decision.

George Mason closes out its regular season Monday afternoon at CAA opponent Towson at 2:30 p.m.
